Centralized Procurement

Centralized procurement involves that purchasing decisions are made either by organizations headquarters or regional level. When an organization operates a centralized model, a procurement officer at organizations head office has the authority for the vast majority of the procurement spends. Centralization can benefit companies by providing the ability to leverage significant price reductions, and technical and environmental standardization.
